Full-Time Worship Director
Clarkston, MI
QUalifications
Strong musical ability is sought, with confidence in leading a band and vocalists, planning worship sets, and making thoughtful musical decisions. A bachelor’s degree in music, Bible, or ministry is a plus, but equivalent experience and a proven track record in worship ministry leadership are valued.
A relational worship director is desired, one who can build, develop, and invest in a worship team. This season requires someone not only musically gifted but also passionate about discipleship and team culture. If shaping and strengthening a worship ministry excites you, this could be a great fit.
COMMITMENT
This worship director position requires 35–45 hours weekly, with regular office hours. One remote workday is allowed with flexibility. Weekly duties include attending a Tuesday staff meeting, participating in a creative/service planning meeting, leading midweek rehearsal on Wednesdays, and leading two Sunday services.
Monthly expectations involve one-on-one meetings with direct reports, forming a small group connected to the worship ministry, and investing in volunteers. Attendance at key church events is expected. Annually, the worship director plans major holiday services and can introduce worship nights as the team grows.
Community
This church community is committed to truth and relationship, rooted in Scripture, shaped by love, and passionate about helping people find God and grow with Jesus. Whether exploring faith or following Christ for years, this is a place where honest questions are welcomed and spiritual growth is encouraged. The mission is clear: to make disciples and do life together as a church family.
You’ll find a strong foundation, a healthy staff culture, and a church full of people who genuinely love one another and the community. There’s a deep commitment to Christ, a hunger to grow, and a desire to link arms for the Gospel. As our worship director, you’ll be supported, ideas are welcomed, and people are encouraged to use their gifts for God’s glory.
